AWARDS - FIREFIGHTER OF THE YEAR For decades firefighters at Station #25 have strived to be the best. Many long and hard hours of dedication are given by individuals in an effort to make us better as an organization. Every year one individual from the fire team is chosen to be the Firefighter of the Year. This award is based on length of service, commitment to the organization, and the overall hours of volunteer participation of the individual. The award recipient is honored for their dedication with an awards plaque, a ceramic plate that recites the firefighter’s prayer, and monetary pay out of $200.00. The award recipients spouse also gets a monetary pay out of $100.00 for their understanding and support to the award recipient through out the year.
