2501 - FIRE CHIEF’S UNIT 2001 Custom GMC Yukon SLE - Chief's unit 2501 was designed to help the fire chief respond to the emergency quickly and to size-up the situation for the responding units. This vehicle has a custom console with a map light and computer laptop on a stand. There is an equipment cabinet in the rear of the truck with roll out trays.The rear cabinet has a filing cabinet with a library of "Commanding the Situation" information. The cabinet holds the fire chief's gear, breathing apparatus, fire extinquishers, an external defibrillator, and a digital camera. The truck has a rear mounted camera for backing around at the fire scene safely. The truck is also equipped with a thermal imaging camera.
